This project was completed in the second term of my foundation diploma. I was very interested in bold colours and decided to look at where these naturally occurred in nature. During my research phase, I looked at a wide range of sources from mushrooms to sea life. All of these provided a plethora of visual imagery and I was able to explore with multiple mediums. The resulting outcomes were very successful. I was able to marry together my love of bold prints with hand embellishment to create a collection that mimicked the bright 'neon' patterns found within nature.
These final designs have been altered to fit a more cohesive colour pallet. The original pallet was not reflective of my initial vision for the project.
